I have made may calls to everybody I was referred to and got some info today I want to pass on. The lady at the FEMA office said they do NOT have anything to do with the removal of the storm damage. She said if it is on a house they will get somebody to get it off but they do NOT remove it. She referred me back to the county emergency office. I finally got hold of a gentleman who seemed to know about this. He said we will have to put the trees and such on the county R/W at our property. They will not pick it up off private land and will not pick it up off the R/W by Alabama Power or Russell lands. It has to be on the property owners R/W. My lot is about 12 ft wide at the street so it looks like I am gonna have to find a private contractor who has a tree chipper. I don't want to have to move all that several times. I'm not bitching, just wanting to pass on info I have been trying to gather for a few days.
