Please understand one thing, a Marine Police Officer, when present can make an observation based assessment, and if they can catch up with the person, they will ticket them.
Otherwise, if you have taken the time to observe and document an illigal activity, it is up to you to report, and it doesn't have to be the Marine Police, in fact, as a tax payer I would appreciate it if you went to the county Sherrif's office to make your report, as your documentation will not "age" and this situation does not warrant a time precedence.
Question 1, what property was damaged by this act? Question 2, what is the cost to fix this damage? Question 3, Did you also get the "name" of the boat? Question 4, Was the act and damage caught on film, or just the get away?
As we are also intending to "document" illigal activity this season, we would like to get feedback on your experience.
But as I have stated, if your documentation was good enough, the Marine Police aren't who you need to contact. (IMHO)
