I had a new seawall and pier built by Lake Martin Docks a couple of years ago and they said the dock level would be at 491. I also put stainless steel nails at 6" intervals on a free-standing post when the water was at 483' some time ago and it certainly appears that the currently-stated level of 489.5' is right on the money.
