Did you stabilize the old gas from last year? If the answer is no, I would get it out of the tank. I would not try to add fresh and it may be to late to add any additives.

It could be ok, but why risk it?
Always air on the side of caution.

If you did stabilize it last fall, you should be OK to add fresh and enjoy.
