Dear Rooster,

I've been thinking about the possibilty of having a quarter to a half inch of roof decking exposed. If you use the metal roofing manufacturers "L' shaped piece of metal trim, designed to be attached to the edges of a metal roof) it will cover any exposed roof deck. Therefore the quarter or half of an inch will not matter.

Sincerely,
Your friend and neighbor (Carpenter)
