She may have sucked more than silt. Pull it out and check the drive underneath and see if something is binding up the impeller.

I doubt silty water would 'clog' your cooling system especialy if you see clear water running out. While it's out, flush the cooling system. If you still think it's not cooling properly you can pull the head and inspect the water jackets. A small amount of sand and dirt inside is normal.

It might be a good idea to check some other things at the same time like your plugs and the compression.
