My handyman found mold growing under our lakehouse while making other repairs. He bleached/disinfected it/killed it,,, but??
Did not even know it was there!!
My house has pier foundation, with the lot sloped gently from right to left related to waterline, with siding down to ground level. Rainwater from the torrential rains this year had run under the house and kept the soil too moist over time.
Just a warning about your house.
