Surface temperature, meaning the first few inches/feet will vary greatly depending on rain and other elements. 4 feet should be more stable. The water at diving depth is a constant year round (high 40's low 50's). I was more concerned with the shock value of jumping into the water. It was an honest question, since no one could provide an answer- I will not be planning a dive this weekend. Thanks anyway...
