tile and wood flooring--kinda of a hobby. My statement was based on some high prices I've heard (like $6.75/ft for tile laying) and some very marginal work. Where you're building I'd go to Birmingham and Montgomery to find an installer (don't tell'em your house is at Lake Martin until after the quote).

If you plan to use hardwood, take a look at Australian Cypress. Beautiful HARD wood that goes good at the lake and about half the price of old heart pine.
