Subject:   90 mercury alarm

The newer model two stroke merc 90's will not sound the alarm if motor is not getting oil. It sounds the alarm when there is a low oil level condition in the tank. Could be possible the low level switch in the tank is stuck closed. Also the alarm will sound when the engine overheats. Check to see if the water pump is pumping water out of the side of motor. If not, you need new water pump installed. Keep your hooks wet..... KW
