Hello,

I am trying to find some property to build a retirement home on.  This week my wife and I came by Yonah Lake to look at 2 properties.  But to be honest we could have driving right by them and never knew it.

Google maps, Mapquest and the County Appraiser site don't provide much help as the roads don't seem to line up or are not called  the same things.

I am looking for 5 acres of vacant land at 19 Lake Yonah Road and 18+ acres at 6 Lake Yonah Road.

Today, we drove by in the rain.  

Drove past the boat launch area and followed the road.  I am not sure if that is Lake Yonah or Dike Road, saw a few gates, one or 2 dirt roads and crossed the power easement and came to a gate.  As it was raining, couldn't see much, but I believe we were still pretty far from the water at that point.

My Herbie Bug isn't going offroading, but it would be nice to get a better idea as to where these properties are and how to get around the area.

Any help would be appreciated.  We are staying near Helen, but I plan to make another attempt on Wednesday.
