Well, I was thinking more about his years in the Senate made him a very powerful man. The longer you serve, the more important committees that are eligible to chair.

But, I can agree with the age limit too. I find it hard to believe that at 92 he was personally doing much legislating. Appears to me that he was just being wheeled into the chamber to vote.
