I was working in the Network Control Center of Gunter AFB, AL. We heard the news and tuned into the PC TV (TV over the internet). Everyone watched live as the events unfolded. As we were in a US Government building we were told not to go outside. This interested me because to that point they were only targeting buildings.... Within a couple hours we had all been given handouts which had asked what kind of formal or informal experience we had in handling emergency response. Seems to me it would have been a little late to gather that kind of information...
