The HOBOs (Lake Martin Home Owners and Boat Owners Association, Inc) was founded about seven weeks ago. We already have 350 members and are growing rapidly. We have one mission: To Preserve Lake Martin for Future Generations. Our three main goals are to improve water quality; to have the winter water levels raised to 485' so that year round water levels will be more consistent to improve use of the lake and help the local economies, and improve the environment for fish and fishermen; AND to work with our three counties to develop reasonable shoreline development planning (zoning).
