I know you want me to forget all the inconvenient and important issues surrounding this adf fixate on what someone said about it. His views are solidly pro-life and focused on saving the life of the baby. I would certainly not condemn her and her family for deciding to seek an abortion, especially if doctors believe she would not be medically able to give birth or the trauma of carrying the child to term would be too great. But neither did he. Your selective editing and use of quotes was deceptive to say the least. He said the hypothetical "would" as opposed to your quoting the author of the story who used the word "should". You see Goofy words have meaning and yours and the article were deceptive. You turned something the man hoped would be the case into him saying it should be the case.
Yes, a 10-year old girl may be capable of carrying a baby to term and in the case of rape the National Right to Life organization, as I demonstrate below, takes that into account. Here is how the article ended which you deceptively left out because you are trying to gin up outrage where none should exist:
Bopp’s model legislation notes that some states may need to carve out exceptions for rape or incest which Bopp said described (sic) as “a pro-life position, but it’s not our ideal position.”
That's right, exceptions for rape and incest are indeed a pro-life position but not an ideal position as we WOULD HOPE (I put in caps so you can't mischaracterize it) that woman subjected to those circumstances would understand that despite the awful reason for the pregnancy it is still a baby with a soul, has value and should not receive the death penalty because their biological father committed a rape. But we also recognize the trauma and other consequences from this situation (as in the case of the girl being 10 years old) that she and her parents may in good conscience decide to seek an abortion.....not ideal, but understandable.
So my question to you is would you accept that position? I am guessing not. You probably think using abortion as a form of birth control is perfectly fine and think you are dunking on us with this extremely rare kind of situation. You simply don't get it....if the pro-abortion crowd would limit abortion to these kind of cases there would be a huge cry of relief in the pro-life community. But there views are extreme and amount to infanticide and that is why the struggle continues.
