Kamala madd                                                                                                     e it to the Pettis Bridge today to campaign for voting rights, but she can't make it to the Border, which she is supposed to be in charge of resolving.  She's not even African-American.  

The coverage of the of the Pettis Bridge paled when you look at what is going on in Ukraine and Russia.  Russian people are being beaten and jailed for walking in the street protesting the war.  The people in Ukraine are either ducking bombs or trying to get to a safe country.  The "voting rights" of African Americans in this country, which they already have under the Constitution, pales in comparison.  

I'm not making light of the Pettis Bridge Massacre - in it's day, it was horrible.  But I struggle to find it to be compelling some 50-some years later.  It's become a political campaign.
