I know I am getting sick of the lack of action and playing to their base.

The majority of the problem is the spending and entitlements ... lets address what is going out the door and get that cut first.

The discussion on should the tax cuts that have been in effect for the last 10 years need to be extended or not is a discussion that should be had ... but only after real spending cuts have been made.

The reason I say that is there needs to be work done on the whole tax code ... even the IRS is saying it is so complex now that they can not keep up with it and it has to be simplified. A simplier tax code increases revenue because the reduced complexity allows less shelters and less areas to cheat.

I honestly have a tax plan that I think is simple and effective that I am drafting and plan on sending to Obama and many congressmen and offer it as a starting point. I am sure some of you will laugh at this, but while it is high level thoughts, I do think it addresses concerns on both sides and could be very effective. I have allowed many people to look at it and have received very positive feedback.

I am not saying it is the answer ... but sometimes a fresh thought will stimulate other thinking and bring people together.
