"What do you read?" WAS a stupid question, but "All of them!" was an equally stupid answer. I would have been more impressed with a flat refusal to answer than with "I'm going to try to think on my feet and make something up no matter how impossible it is."

I would have been just as unimpressed had the interviewee been Biden, Obama, McCain, or Lou Holtz. In this case the idiocy of the answer is not only non-partisan, it is non-political.
