I couldn't agree more. I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal.  I describe as  it caring who you sleep with as long as you forcing me to participate or fund it. I guess I need to evolve into  it caring what bathroom you use either. My thought on maternity leave is why can't we take a week or two, whatever the math tells us is necessary, off the back end of all unemoyment benefits and fund the maternity leave. A working woman who expands her family deserves it much better than some of the leeches that work just long enough to qualify for another  round of unemoyment. Last I heard you can get over a years worth of unemoyment. Seems like a reasonable an to me and easier then just forcing employers to pay them. They pay unemployment insurance premiums already.  Am I crazy?  I would like to hear some other opinions.
