The late Celestine Sibley wrote a 3 or 4 times a week column for the Atlanta Journal for over 50 years starting in the 50's. She wrote about anything and everything, but most columns included some homespun humor. Recently she was inducted into the GA Press Hall of Fame. The former AJC business writer Maria Saporta wrote of the event including the story of a time when she and Sibley shared the elevator in the AJC building. Saporta was carrying a copy of a new biography of Grace Hamilton (First Black womqan to serve in the GA legislature). Sibly looked down at the book and exclaimed "Maria, I just finished that book on Grace myself. You know she was a great woman..she was just a good person. Of course good people usually make for boring biographies."
