Those laws are in place and these kind of things will never stop but the punishment for a BUI should be the same as if it was a DUI on land that kills somone. Most of AL homicide by vessel cases, the defendant never spend a day in jail. But if this was to happen in a car they would spend alot of time in jail. Why are they saying, in away, kill someone on water while drunk and its ok. The punishment i guess is what i want to change on most water laws. Along with changing a homicide by vessel from an unclassified felony to a felony as if it happened on land. What really is the differance?
