I agree.  I also think the anti-gun people are hung up on the looks of the weapon.  AR-15 is a semi-automatic, no different from your hunting rifle, yet, because of the way it looks, it is referred to as a "assault" weapon.  It's a packaging issue, because it is still one tigger pull, one bullet.  Remember the big "victory" after the Las Vegas shooting?  Liberal thought they had a big victory because they outlawed bump stocks, something not widely used.  They had no clue  

The problem is that they are not enforcing the rules on the books.  Also, people are a problem.  Remember the Sandy Hook shootings?  The mother bought the AR for the son, who was not only autistic but apparently harbored mental illness.  What was she thinking?  It seems like every time one of these young people do a mass shooting, some adult in their life either failed to secure the weapon or knew there was a problem developing, but didn't do anything about it, and if they did try to engage law enforcement, there was nothing that could be done.  

It's going to be interesting to see what the Biden administration tries to do with this.  Considering that gun sales are at an all time high and that ammunition is in very short supply, I don't imagine that attempts to restrict guns will be taken easily.
