I have a pontoon boat that has the blue lights under the rail on each side as well as transom under water blue lights on each tube. I have asked around and can't seem to get a consensous. I have experienced more than once, the water patrol pass close by at night and I had both sets of lights on with no problem. I have also been told by the marina's that they have had customers get tickets for the side lights being on and just heard yesterday that a customer got a ticket for the underwater transom lights. If someone actually knows the law, I would appreciate your answers to the following:

1. Can the under the rail side lights by on while underway (mounted under floor & shine down on the toons)?

2. Can the under water transom lights be on while underway?
