Actually MrHodja, Its not people like me that are installing the extra lights, it is the Boat manufacturer, which in my case is Harris. This would leave one to reason that manufactuers see a demand in the additional lighting and are attempting to meet that demand.
I did also go to Harris website and look at all the options they offer. They have 40+ lines of options and not a single one of them is a seizure causing white strobe light for the rear of your boat. I totally disagree if you think those peel and stick strobes that some owners are installing is a good idea. To recap, under water transon lights and side toon lights are factory installed systems by most manufactures. Seizure inducing stick on white strobes are not avaiable from the manufacture but can added by the owner that cares nothing about the people behind them at night.
I didnt want to debate wheteher the lights are cool or not and I am certainly not worried about appearing as such. I just simply wanted to know what the law was for accesories installed on my boat by the factory. I will call the Marine Police as suggested
TowBoat - Thank YOU for the re-post from last year.
