Hound, I only used the name Dole as an example of a sacrificial lamb from previous elections along with people like Dukakis, etc. He is way beyond being a candidate. My point is the quality of the GOP candidates will be much better if Obama is vulnerable. Will we pick the right one? I hope so but history has not always been our side.

I like Christie as well but like you, I am not sure how he will play in the south or west and he really doesn't seem all that interested. Paul Ryan/Marco Rubio seem to be getting a lot of play lately but both have said they are not interested. Either way its still too early to be having this discussion in earnest. Mid-late summer we need to get serious.
