I have to admit I didn't really follow this trial much but I do know the burden of proof is pretty high for a murder trial. Needs to be beyond a shadow of a doubt and it sounds like from what little I read it was easy for the defense to create the shadow. Of course I am not very conversant so I could be wrong but I did watch to OJ trial more closely and that seemed clearly a case of a) jury nullification;and b) prosecutorial incompetence. This one I just don't know.....
One thing I will say from my direct experience with the media is believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see. If opinions are formed based on what has been reported in the media then a healthy dose of skepticism is probably in order.
