A few years ago there was a small flat bottom boat that came in my slough every evening just about dark with 3 guys in it fishing. For 3 weeks you could set your clock by it. One friday morning I was sitting on the back deck and noticed something didnt look right on the pontoon boat so I walked down to the water , I was right, they had stolen the trolling motor . They didnt just steal it, they ripped it off the floor, trolling motor gone, huge hole in the front deck. All they had to do was unlatch it and go.I never seen that flat bottom boat with the 3 guys again. I think it would be a good idea to take note of suspicious boats like the one you mentioned and let everyone know so we could all be on the look out, kinda like the neighborhood watch thing.
