Assuming of course the vaccine works.....which it is looking more and more like it is not nearly as effective against the Delta variant.  I was disinvited to a company dinner last week because I wasn't fully vaccinated.  Didn't want to go anyway but I was sorely tempted to ask them, if everyone else is vaccinated why would you care if I wasn't...unless the vaccine doesn't work?  I didn't ask because I didn't want to go. 

As I have stated repeatedly, were my personal circumstances different I would have already gotten the vaccine.  But they aren't and I am still inclined to wait until more data is available on its effectiveness and the risk of adverse effects.  In essence, I am disinclined to be a test subject for an experimental vaccine using a never-tried technology that had to be approved for use on an emerency basis.  And I do so knowing that I would take the same position regardless of who is President.

Operation Warpspeed was an amazing feat and it will save countless lives of the elderly and those with 2 or more co-morbidities who are at real risk of dying from the virus.  I consider it an awful choice for the young and healthy given what we know about the virus.
