it is either a loose magnet or a fuse. but not the fuse you are thinking about. there is a fuse on a circuit board that is inside the tube that goes in the gas tank. there are guys who can go into that tube and bypass the fuse and put a replacement outside the tank and tube.
even if you buy a new tube, about 150 bucks, it will eventually screw up the same way
