According to the AP we as Americans are going to have to accept 10% unemployment as the new normal. This is exactly what I expressed in earlier posts about how we will end up with European levels of unemployment if we pursue the same ruinous socialist policies. Apparently the government media is already plowing that fertile ground for the Messiah so we can once and for all dispense with American exceptionalism and join the mediocrity of the rest of the world.

A sad day for our country but unless there is a sudden electoral shift in 2010 (and possibly even with one) we are headed there like stupid cattle to the slaughter. But in the meantime at least Obama will be having the time of his life with the multiple parties at the White House (latest being Earth Wind & Fire), flying all over the place for dates with Michelle and going on failed boondoggles to Copenhagen for the Olympics bid.
