I agree, I have no idea why people would want to do away with them. There are bands that are going more towards the dance lines instead of majorettes, but major sec schools still have them. Those girls work so hard all their lives to learn to twirl the baton, it would be a shame to do away with majorettes. We have plenty of talent with baton twirlers, I don't understand why someone would want to get rid of them either...
