Of course it was part of a compromise that the GOP agreed to but Obama proposed it and the Dem-led Senate approved it. My point is that Obama is now campaigning against his very idea. The GOP is trying to reduce federal spending in a rational way to which Obama and Harry Reid refuse to agree thereby causing the impasse. They already caved on tax increases and as predicted by those of that understand the left knew at the time they were lying and would never agree to budget cuts and would want more tax increases.
