Phil, you offer simple solutions for simple minds. I understand that's the way you and your fellow Trumpanzees would like to see the issues. If someone, such as myself , who has been a medical practioner for years, is telling you that we will eventually have a single payer system, it would be a good idea for you to give it some thought. 

No no one enjoys paying property tax. My point is that if states are going to have a property tax, it would seem out of balance for Alabama property taxes to be very small compared to Other Southeastern states. This disproportionately rewards large out of state land owners who own forest land and don't put significant taxes into State funds.
