I usually have several large holes behind my seawall every spring.  Others have told me they are crayfish holes.  Personally I don't know enough about them to know if this is true or not.  The only ones I ever saw were in the creeks and springs I played as a kid, and usually then under rocks.  There is a spring fed branch that flows in at the end of the slough.  You are welcome to come and take as many as you can find.
