I offer simple solutions so you and gfy can understand it.
If someone, such as myself , who has been a medical practioner for years, is telling you that we will eventually have a single payer system
If someone, such as myself, who has been a medical patient for years, is telling you that the government will screw up a wet dream - you might want to look into it, and I will take the words of someone who has been at "practicing" medicine more then a few years, maybe the family physican who has been at it for 50+.
"as a medical practioner"( your spelling not mine ) practitioner one you should know how to spell it, or get a refund on your medical degree. I have looked at it, and I know many doctors who have looked at it and said it will limit healthcare and increase corruption, hell when was the last time you saw government get involved and ANYTHING run better? You might want to have a look at capitalism vs socialism - there is a reason we are different form the rest of the world.
The point is that those out of state land owners who own forest land still pay taxes on that land, just like I do for my properties, and just like you do unless you rent which some portion of property tax will be built into your rent. That tax is based on the county and states assessment of how much it is worth. Now if that property is not a primary residence, which more then likely vast tracks of forest land would fall into the catagory, much like one of my lake properties that currently does not have a house on it, I get to pay much more since the county has decided that wow, no one is paying sales tax from that location, so lets have them pay 3-4 times as much for their taxes.
I hear the same excuse from stupid people about the lottery - it would effect the poor disproportionately - well no, it only affects those willing to put money in regardless of race, religion, age or economic status. If I want to put $20 into a lottery no it may not be the same in terms of the percent of my income as a disabled homeless vet, but I chose to put it there. If I or someone else playing the lottery have to choose between lottery and groceries I am going to put food on the table for my family, but if someone on a fixed income decides to blow his paycheck, oh well sucks to be him. Same as a idiot I once knew who bet a monthly paycheck on a Alabama Auburn game - whoopsie you get to eat PB&J for a while, but not my damn problem and should not cause me to have to pay more for my groceries.
My point is that asshats like yourself want to raise my taxes and not the taxes of everyone else who should have some skin in the game, same with income tax - some illegals and other people being paid under the table dont have to pay into the system. The same for people who like to ride the bicycles down the middle of the highway blocking cars. We pay fuel tax, we pay tax for our tags, we have to have insurance on our vehicles, have to renew drivers licenses and abide the rules of the road. Someone can hop on their schwinn from the nearest K-Mart and play lets spread out and block traffic, because we have a "right" but in the words of Obama they didnt build that, they have no skin in the game. They need to get insurance and have a license and should be charged a per mile fee since they do not get to pay the fuel taxes that are supposed to go to road maintenance and I would put electric cars in the same catagory, pay your fees or piss off.
Trumpanzee - omg that is just so witty, I should get a toupee and go cling to my guns and bible in a deplorable way.
