You need to read what you post. You like to Google a subject and the try to appear intelligent by multiple posts without reading them. The Daily Signal which you posted discussed some changes to strengthen the program. Why would you post the age change when you disagree with it?
"Why should it be rasied to 68? Do you hate people 65-67?"
From YOUR post...."Moffit also says that Congress needs to reduce further the taxpayers’ subsidies to the wealthiest retirees and gradually raise the normal age of Medicare eligibility from 65 to 68, tracking changes in older Americans’ longer life expectancy and capacity to stay active in the workplace. "
You also know very little about Medicare. Medicare C is called Medicare Advantage and is quite different than Original Medicare (Parts A&B). In exchange for either lower premium and/or broader benefits one gives up doctor and hospital choice and are in a network.
As to having to carry 2 insurance cards, if you have a supplement plan Medicare will forward a copy of their payment to the supplement carrier. The insured just has to show the cards at the docs office. The supplement plan pays the coinsurance and will only pay if Medicare approved the charge. I am sure your parents did not find this to be a burden. You only have to show it on your initial visit.
Finally, the cost to your parents under Medicare was far less as they grew older than if they still had their BC/BS. Medicare rates do NOT increase as you get older. They change only based on premium and claim projections. Without Medicare, many seniors could not qualify for insurance as Medicare provides coverage for pre exiting conditions.
Now go Google and post another 4 to 5 posts to defend your indefensible position.
