I have very close friends from South Africa and they left a long time ago due to the crime and the chaos post Mandela. And yes, they hid their Krugerrands in the hollowed out legs of their furniture because they were unable to take their money out of the country. It appears that SA will follow some other African nations that thought it was a good idea to steal land and give it away. Funny thing about farming, you actually have to know what you're doing in order to survive. It is a very challenging business and it requires a lot of expertise to survive, much less thrive. Giving the land to people who have no idea what they are doing is a recipe for disaster. Expect their food output to drop dramatically and for there to be widespread food shortages.
