I use that at the beach, Nextdoor.com, and basically it is a social media connection, bulletin board and communication site for just about anything.   But you will see everything from complaints that are meaningless to issues that are timely in nature.  One thing to also consider is you complete and use your address which is available on line to anyone that is a member.  That is very visable and to tell you the truth, I will not use it if available at the lake.  Just my experience so far but it may be great for someone liking that kind of thing.
