And be done with it? The prognosticators are claiming that there is no way Trump can get to 270. So why not call it; let Trump demand his recounts and file suits and put the wheels in motion. As near as I can see, all these absentee votes have done is further complicate the election and the results being tabulated, and it was totally unnecessary since these absentee voters are the very people that will wander around Walmart for an hour or decide to go out to eat, and were perfectly capable of going to the polls. Or maybe they need to allow every state, early in person voting for the week ahead of the election day, and limite absentee voting to people who will not be able to physically go to the polls.
Instead, what we have is exactly what the Democrats wanted to happen. At this point, I am ambivelant to a Biden win. It's clear that he won't serve a whole term, but that does not mean that Harris is a shoe-in for 2024. Perhaps it will inspire some younger, smarter people to decide to run. I'm willing to work for Rubio for 2024.
