Someone recently decided to remove the buoys from Chimney Rock. My personal cost in this matter is around the sum of $300 for cleats, stainless steel cable, concrete, and foam. Other boaters also have spent money, time, and effort installing their own buoys. Whether or not this person is aware of boating laws, when a buoy is installed by a private party, the buoy becomes public property. No matter what this person’s feelings are in this matter towards the individuals who conjugate at Chimney Rock, this person destructed public property. Any information concerning this matter is greatly appreciated. P.N.
