and you are right. I didn't in any way mean to suggest that my two young office friends have nothing to offer; only that many young people not serving, and who personally know no one serving, might not feel the same angst for those in harm's way, no matter their age. When the draft was in effect, every male over 18 was aware of the possibility that he might be sent to fight for our country. I was just suggesting that everyone's realization of the impact of any war might be heightened if those WWII flags were reinstated.
You know, I have often said that the written word leaves much to be desired...without voice inflection and/or facial expression, words are so easily misconstrued.
Again, a reflective, happy and safe Memorial Day to all - I have 1 hour and 24 minutes left before I can bail from my desk and be on the road TO THE LAKE!
