The priest asks "Joost what is yahr sin moi son?"

"Oi have recently had sexual relations ootside the bounds of mahrrage."

"Wuth whom did ye have relations moi son?"

"Oh that oi could not say faither."

"Wahl, waz it yoong Mary Mulligan?"

"Oh no faither, t'was not her, boot oi will not say more."

"Waz it pahrhaps Margaret O'Reilly then?"

"Nay not her aither faither."

"How aboot Katie Dooley?"

"Not Katie faither, boot as oi say oi cannot tell joost who it was."

"Very well moi son, say 5 our faithers and 10 hail Marys and go and sin no more."

The lad leaves the church to meet his waiting friend who asks "Well whut did ye git Seamus?"

"5 our faithers, 10 hail Marys and 3 pretty noice prospects!"
