While I agree 100% with what you posted, the reality is that far too many people get their "news" from their FB feed and that news is highly manipulated. But it's their company and they can do what they want but I firmly believe FB, Twitter, YouTube, etc. do not comply with the requirements of Section 230 which gives them protection from liability for what is posted on their sites. They are a publisher. They make content decisions every day just like a newspaper or news show. That is a protection from liability that should be removed. And if it is they will act very differently because they will then be held accountable for what they are already doing....managing the content on their sites. Other than that gripe, they can do whatever they want.
