I was rebooting also but you don't have to.  MacAffee taught me how to initiate the task manager and just highlight your browser in the list and choose kill task.  All you have to do is restart the browser.  you can also access it with Control alt delete like Phil suggested.  It had me baffled for  awhile.  When I knew it was BS was when one of the messages told me my Norton Antivirus had expired.  Since I have never had Norton I knew it was BS and decided to contact McAffee, whch turned out to be not such an easy task in itself.  But I am confident now that I have no worries, just a few extra keystrokes and it is done.
