Mack, I believe that length of the days affects the movement to shallow water as much as water temp. Too many fish are being caught in water averaging 55 degrees in shallow water. I could be wrong.
If the deer rut is tied to length of daylight, I guess movement of fish could be, too. Topwater fishing for bass on Martin seems to be tied to the length of days and not necessarily water temp. Hope some of this gobbledegoop helps.
