Gentlemen, while the religious may thunp their Bible about being gay, the truth is that outide the South, it is much more accepted.  Gay people are no more likely to be sexual predators than anyone "straight".  So I sincerely doubt that why the Boy Scouts are floundering financially.  It could be any number of other things like poor financial managment, or a cultural change.  Community service and sports leagues (like a bowling league, softball team etc) are also way down. 

I blame the decrease on a cultural change of people just not joining up in organized recreation.
