Just from what I have read they are cheaper than electrical lifts. Because mine came with the house/dock when I bought it I don't know exactly what it cost but have seen references online to ~ $3k for what I have.

I have fenders inside the slip on both sides so hopefully any play I leave in the ropes will be protected by the fenders.
