Where should we draw the line? If wake is the problem then why not get legislation that bans boats that are capable of creating wake over a certain size, regardless of boat size or potential speed? Run your bass boat or small runabout at 12 mph and observe the wake - we as operators can help keep some wake down. I consider myself a decent and fairly courteous boat operator, but while I can easily deal with wake from a large boat, it is the amount of traffic (sheer number of boats) creating helter skelter waves that no amount of throttle/trim/steering corrections can help. The boss wants to know how much longer our boat will last, and is talking about getting a pontoon boat for runs through the big water.
