beginner fisher with company coming down this weekend and only have access to a jon boat with 15hp & trolling motor so figure I am retricted to our cove. Do the stripers come into the coves from the big water? Can you catch them without planers, sideboards and other mechanisms I am not familar with. Yes, I know I will go with a guide next time but any advice would be appreciated as I know there is a ton of experience out there.
