The Nobel Peace Prize has evolved... from a true recognition of peace makers and humanitarians... to a political statement of approval. It has lost its relevancy - and so its constituency. It regularly burps out another name and folks are taken by surprise, shake their head in amazement, and move on.

Like our own Constitution, The Nobel Peace Prize has been bastardized into disrespect and ambiguity.

This year, I'm wondering if a substantial endowment can BUY the prize. It has been so suggested. And, unlike my astonishment at the winner, I was not at all surprised by the suggestion.
